Social Hide

Social hide is a community activated hide nestled within the Melbourne Water Recreation Area. The space consists of connecting rotary flooring which when turned influence and rotate the other flooring. This encourages individuals to interact and communicate with each other to achieve their desired views. This provides a social and playful element to the space.

The utilisation of Australian materials creates an environment that connects individuals to the environment. Connection to the environment prompts peace and relaxation, placing individuals in the right mindset to welcome verbal social interaction.
